Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Private Wealth Services Associate for its Fort Lauderdale, FL office. This full-time, onsite position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team focused on estate planning, wealth preservation, and tax matters for high-net-worth clients.

Duties

• Assist with the preparation of estate planning documents, including wills and trusts.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on tax, probate, and trust administration issues.
• Support estate and trust administration, including probate filings and asset transfers.
• Participate in client meetings and assist in developing wealth preservation strategies.
• Prepare gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax returns.
• Stay updated on tax laws, estate planning strategies, and industry developments.
• Collaborate with the Private Wealth Services team to deliver high-quality legal services.

Requirements

• JD or JD/LL.M. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 0-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in estate planning or tax.
• Florida Bar admission or willingness to become licensed in Florida promptly.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education

• JD or JD/LL.M. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Florida Bar admission or willingness to become licensed in Florida.
