A law firm seeks a senior associate or counsel to join its dynamic and growing Real Estate practice in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience representing companies, developers, franchisees, and investors in sophisticated real estate matters, with a primary focus on commercial leasing, franchise and distribution, and general corporate real estate.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate commercial leases and broader agreements regarding the acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of commercial properties.



• Represent clients in franchise matters, including reviewing and negotiating agreements, renewals, and transfers.



• Handle general corporate tasks and asset acquisitions, providing strategic legal advice to diverse entities.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in commercial real estate, with substantial expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial leases.



• Strong background in franchise and distribution law, including experience representing franchisees.



• Excellent academic credentials and a proven track record of high motivation and strong communication skills.



• Ability to work with minimal supervision while managing complex, sophisticated legal matters.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Massachusetts.

Skills

• Proficiency in negotiating complex commercial leases and franchise agreements.



• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for general corporate real estate matters.



• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
