A law firm seeks an experienced Patent Partner to join its expanding intellectual property group in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will bring a robust practice to the heart of Penn Quarter, offering the opportunity to work in a vibrant area surrounded by cultural destinations.

Duties

• Lead and manage patent prosecution and IP counseling projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to expand the firm's reach.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the D.C. IP group.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in patent prosecution and/or IP counseling.
• Established, portable book of business.
• Registration to practice before the USPTO.

Education

• Degree in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline preferred.

Certifications

• USPTO registration required.

Skills

• Technical depth in semiconductors, telecommunications, signal processing, power systems, or embedded and software technologies preferred.
• Strong leadership and client management abilities.
