Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in business transactions, corporate governance, private equity, securities offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. Duties

• Negotiate and draft business agreements.
• Close private equity and venture capital investment transactions.
• Draft private placement offerings for small businesses and investment funds.
• Organize companies, including drafting organizational documents for LLCs and corporations.

Requirements

• JD required; additional qualifications (LL.M., CFP, CPA, MBA, MST) preferred.
• 3-5+ years' experience in business, financial, or tax law.
• Law Review or Business Law Journal experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high-quality work.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

• Bar admission in Illinois

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
