Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid to senior-level corporate associate to join its capital markets group in Reston, VA. The role involves working with public companies on reporting, compliance, and governance, and supporting a dynamic securities practice focused on life sciences, technology, and digital assets.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.
• Draft legal documents, including memos and contracts.
• Assist in managing complex transactions from inception to resolution.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop transaction strategies.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
• Engage in professional development and community involvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in public company and capital markets.
• Experience with public company reporting and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
• Experience with Nasdaq and NYSE listing and governance requirements.
• Experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm preferred.

Education

• JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of Virginia.
