Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join its team in Wilmington, DE. Duties

• Manage and execute complex litigation matters, including general liability, professional liability, and toxic tort cases.


• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and prepare for depositions and trials.


• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality client service and case management.


• Track billable hours and maintain accurate records using case/file management systems.


 

Requirements

• At least 7 years of litigation experience; opportunities exist for those with less experience via separate postings.


• Current and active Delaware Bar membership in good standing.


• Superior written and oral communication skills with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.


• Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced legal environment.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Delaware.


 

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and LexisNexis.


• Familiarity with case/file management systems and legal technology tools.


• Strong ability to track billable hours and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
