Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate for its virtual office in Kansas City. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of experience in complex commercial litigation and labor & employment litigation matters.

Duties

• Conduct factual investigations and manage discovery processes.
• Prepare pleadings and motions for litigation cases.
• Take and defend depositions with a high degree of autonomy.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and client communications.
• Collaborate with attorneys in the Technology, Manufacturing, & Transportation business unit.

Requirements

• Four to six years of experience in commercial litigation preferred.
• Experience in labor & employment litigation is advantageous.
• Active bar license in Michigan or Ohio; both preferred.
• Reside in Michigan or Ohio.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar license in the state of residence.
