Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Tax Credit Senior Counsel in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax credit finance and development, particularly with real estate finance and New Markets Tax Credits. Candidates in St. Louis are strongly preferred, but applications from other locations, including virtual, are welcome.

Duties

• Advise clients on tax credit finance and development matters.
• Collaborate with teams on real estate finance projects.
• Provide strategic counsel on New Markets Tax Credits.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of eight years of tax credit experience.
• Active bar license in the relevant state or commitment to obtain one.
• Experience with real estate finance and New Markets Tax Credits.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar license in the state of practice.
