A law firm seeks a Business Restructuring and Reorganization Attorney to join its New York, NY office. The ideal candidate will have three to six years of experience in Chapter 11 bankruptcies and restructurings.

Duties

• Represent corporate debtors, creditors committees, individual creditors, and third-party purchasers.
• Manage client relationships and handle day-to-day requirements of corporate bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
• Work collaboratively within a corporate restructuring/bankruptcy department.

Requirements

• Three to six years of experience in a leading law firm handling Chapter 11 bankruptcies.
• Experience clerking for a bankruptcy judge is preferred.
• High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.

Education

• Juris Doctor from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York.

Skills

• Strong client management and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple clients at different stages of bankruptcy and restructuring.
