Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Associate to join its real estate litigation-focused practice group in Chesterfield, Missouri. This role involves handling civil litigation centered on property law concepts, including real estate contracts, fee title, easements, and liens, alongside general business litigation and transactional matters. The position offers a dynamic environment for professional growth and mentorship.

Duties

• Collaborate with experienced attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to manage case strategy and execution.


• Prepare evidence, documents, and presentations for trial, mediations, and court appearances.


• Handle depositions and manage the full lifecycle of litigation files from initiation through resolution.


• Draft pleadings, including petitions, motions, briefs, and other essential legal documents.


 

Requirements

• Zero to two plus years of experience working in litigation.


• Ability to autonomously handle a large volume of files while meeting strict deadlines.


• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a teachable attitude.


• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work efficiently with corporate professionals.


 

Education

• Law degree from an ABA accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Must be licensed and able to practice law in Missouri.


 

Skills

• Prior experience in property or lending law is preferred, though not required.


• Experience with cross-border matters or general business litigation is desired.


• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
