A law firm seeks an Associate in the Tax practice group to support its expanding Energy Tax practice in Miami, FL. The role involves advising clients on complex tax matters related to renewable energy, infrastructure, and project finance.

Duties

• Advise clients on the tax aspects of project development, acquisitions, financings, and joint ventures.
• Provide guidance on federal tax credits and incentives applicable to renewable energy projects.
• Support sponsors, developers, investors, and lenders on energy and infrastructure transactions.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda regarding federal income tax matters.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in federal income tax matters.
• Experience advising on complex transactions involving energy, infrastructure, or project finance.
• Admission, or eligibility for admission, to the bar in the jurisdiction of the office.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills with excellent academic credentials.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission or eligibility for admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Knowledge of federal tax credits and incentives for renewable energy.
• Ability to advise market participants on tax implications of project development.
• Interest in building a practice at the intersection of tax law, energy, and project finance.
