Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Atlanta, GA, with a minimum of three years of civil litigation experience to join their personal injury defense practice. The role involves handling insurance defense cases for carriers and insureds in Georgia state courts.

Duties

• Manage a defense docket of Georgia state and federal matters from answer through trial.
• Draft dispositive motions, discovery, Daubert challenges, and motions in limine.
• Take and defend fact, treating-physician, and expert depositions.
• Prepare case evaluations, litigation plans, and status reports for carrier clients.
• Participate in trials, initially as second chair, progressing to first chair.

Requirements

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.
• Minimum three years of civil litigation experience; insurance defense or personal injury experience preferred.
• Demonstrated writing ability; an unedited writing sample will be requested.
• Deposition experience.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to a state bar required.
