Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate in San Diego, CA. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex toxic tort and occupational exposure cases, collaborating with experienced litigators on a national platform.

Duties

• Manage and defend silicosis and toxic tort litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses, plaintiffs, and experts.
• Develop case strategy in collaboration with partners and clients.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Work closely with expert witnesses and consultants on medical and scientific issues.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide strategic legal counsel.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in complex litigation matters, including products liability.
• Experience in a mid-size or large law firm setting preferred.
• Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California Bar admission.
