A law firm seeks a second- or third-year litigation associate to join its Privacy and Cybersecurity litigation team in San Diego, California. This role focuses on defending clients in disputes at the intersection of technology, privacy, and consumer protection. The ideal candidate will contribute to class actions and mass arbitration matters involving data breaches, artificial intelligence, and false advertising.

Duties

• Assist in litigating class actions and mass arbitration matters involving privacy, cybersecurity, and consumer protection claims.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and perform factual investigations to support case strategy.
• Manage discovery processes and prepare for depositions and hearings under the guidance of partners and senior associates.
• Turn complex technical and legal concepts into clear, persuasive arguments for various legal proceedings.

Requirements

• Must be a second- or third-year litigation associate with a solid foundation in litigation support.
• Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Exhibit excellent analytical and organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Show a genuine interest in class actions, mass arbitration, and emerging legal issues in technology and privacy.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in California or eligibility for admission.
