Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Construction Litigation Attorney in Plantation, FL. This role involves representing contractors, developers, and design professionals in complex construction disputes, including defect claims, torts, and contractual issues. The ideal candidate will manage the full lifecycle of litigation, from initial counseling and discovery through trial.

Duties

• Provide legal counseling and representation to clients in construction-related disputes, including defect claims, torts, and contractual matters.



• Take and defend depositions, draft and argue dispositive motions, and prepare pleadings and correspondence.



• Attend site inspections, hearings, mediations, and trials while conducting legal research and analyzing case law.



• Communicate effectively with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to advance case strategy.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar.



• Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation experience, with preference given to those with construction litigation background.



• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in legal research and case law analysis.



• Experience in managing complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
