A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join its practice in Boca Raton, FL. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters. The position requires communication with the firm's headquarters in New York via telephone and electronic means.

Duties

• Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of clients in Florida.
• Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and review and draft agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
• Conduct legal research on simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
• Travel for in-court appearances as required.

Requirements

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in Florida.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels.
• Strong legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
