A law firm seeks a driven Employment Law Associate with 3 to 5 years of experience to join its dynamic Employment Group in Sacramento, California. The role involves handling pre-litigation matters, high-profile single plaintiff cases, systemic discrimination, wage and hour class actions, and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) representative actions. The ideal candidate will counsel clients on diverse employment issues and take an active role in cutting-edge legal matters.

Duties

• Respond to administrative charges and counsel clients on a wide variety of employment issues.



• Manage complex cases, including systemic discrimination and wage and hour class actions.



• Take and defend depositions, make court appearances at important hearings, and argue motions.



• Handle mediations and other related work typically performed by mid-level associates.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of litigation experience at a peer law firm.



• Must be a member of the California State Bar in good standing.



• Exceptional academic credentials and outstanding interpersonal skills.



• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
