A law firm seeks an experienced E-Discovery Attorney to join its team in Sacramento, CA. This role focuses on managing complex eDiscovery matters, developing efficient workflows, and advising stakeholders on information governance and compliance strategies within the context of employment and labor law.

Duties

• Manage eDiscovery processes for complex, global litigations and internal investigations.



• Develop and refine workflows for platforms like Relativity, incorporating TAR and predictive coding.



• Advise legal and compliance teams on eDiscovery strategies aligned with relevant laws and regulations.



• Support case teams with eDiscovery-related negotiations and motion practice.



• Create and maintain standard documentation, including ESI protocols and review workflows.



• Identify opportunities to improve policies and reduce client costs through technology integration.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience managing eDiscovery in complex litigation and investigations.



• Strong understanding of current eDiscovery law, jurisprudence, and evolving technologies.



• Hands-on experience with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity or Everlaw.



• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion.



• Proven ability to identify and execute continuous improvements in policies and processes.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Admission to the California Bar is required.

Skills

• Proficiency in data and document processing procedures for eDiscovery.



• Understanding of the relationship between eDiscovery and disciplines like IT, Data Privacy, and Information Governance.



• Strong communication skills to advise stakeholders and train new users.



• Ability to work collaboratively across various firm disciplines.
