A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in San Antonio, Texas. This full-time, on-site position involves managing a personal injury litigation docket, working alongside experienced trial attorneys, and engaging in courtroom activities. The role offers the opportunity to grow as a trial lawyer with the support of a dedicated team.

Duties

• Manage a docket of personal injury cases, developing liability and damages theories.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions; take and defend depositions.
• Collaborate with medical records specialists to build persuasive damages models.
• Participate in jury trials, argue motions, and present at mediations.
• Negotiate settlements with adjusters and defense counsel.
• Lead and support litigation paralegals and assistants.
• Advocate for clients, advising them on strategy and settlement decisions.
• Learn from senior trial attorneys and contribute to litigation strategies.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 3-8 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years in active litigation.
• Strong command of Texas civil procedure and evidence.
• Willingness to try cases; prior trial experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage a robust docket and meet deadlines.
• Clear and persuasive communication skills.
• Proficiency with legal research databases and case management software.
• Desire to advocate for injured people and maximize their recoveries.
• Preferred: Experience with motor vehicle, commercial trucking, or premises liability cases; Spanish speaking a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
