Duties

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Prepare settlement demand packages and case evaluations.
• Meet with clients and gather and analyze evidence.
• Coordinate with medical and liability experts.
• Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
• Participate in negotiations with insurers and opposing counsel.
• Attend hearings and depositions.
• Assist in trial preparation as needed.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in law with experience or interest in personal injury and civil litigation.
• Ability to provide clear, accurate legal advice and sound professional judgment.
• Excellent research skills, including case law analysis and statutory interpretation.
• Effective negotiation skills for settlement discussions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment.
• Manage deadlines in a fast-paced practice.
• Prior experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, or insurance litigation is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Kansas, or eligibility for prompt admission.
