Job Overview

Duties

• Advise health care providers and industry participants on federal and state regulatory and compliance matters affecting provider operations and business arrangements.



• Conduct health care regulatory due diligence for transactions of varying sizes, identifying and analyzing regulatory issues to support deal teams and clients.



• Supervise and train junior associates while managing multiple matters independently and collaboratively across practices and offices.

Requirements

• Substantial experience advising health care clients on fraud and abuse laws, including the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute.



• Significant and current experience conducting regulatory due diligence in connection with middle-market and upper-market transactions.



• Ability to manage multiple matters, work independently, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Active member of the Bar in the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.



• Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located is required as a condition of employment.

Skills

• Experience with provider compensation, corporate practice of medicine, licensure, government payor enrollment, billing, reimbursement, and overpayment matters.



• Experience with regulatory audits, investigations, and telehealth compliance.



• Excellent writing, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
