A law firm seeks an Associate General Counsel to join its remote team in Bannockburn, IL. This role involves providing comprehensive legal advice and support to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements.
• Advise on contractual, regulatory, operational, and reputational risks.
• Manage contract matters from intake through execution.
• Oversee litigation matters, including strategy and budget management.
• Support corporate governance and entity-management functions.
• Collaborate with compliance, information security, and other departments.
• Develop and maintain legal templates and negotiation playbooks.
• Support contract lifecycle management initiatives.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant legal experience, including commercial contracting.
• Experience managing litigation and supporting corporate governance.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and computer savvy.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
