Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Prepare Marital Settlement Agreements and Allocation Judgments.
• Appear in Zoom and in-person court for routine and contested matters.
• Prepare Pre-Trial Memos, Witness Disclosures, and Exhibits.
• Manage cases from intake through resolution with consistent client communication.
• Navigate county court portals and filing systems independently.
• Cover court appearances across multiple counties with reliable transportation.
• Meet deadlines and billing requirements without close supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in family law litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to draft legal documents and manage cases.
• Prior courtroom experience in contested and evidentiary hearings.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Excellent communicator, confident in court presentations and client relations.
• Detail-oriented with high standards for deadlines and professional conduct.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
