A law firm seeks a midlevel associate with over four years of relevant experience to join its Public Company Advisory group within the Capital Markets practice in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience advising public companies on securities law compliance, disclosure, and corporate governance matters. This role involves independently managing day-to-day securities law counseling and SEC reporting for a diverse client base ranging from Fortune 500 companies to emerging growth entities.

Duties

• Independently manage day-to-day securities law counseling, SEC reporting, and corporate governance matters for a growing public company client base.



• Advise clients across diverse industries, including technology, healthcare, real estate, and consumer services, on compliance and disclosure requirements.



• Collaborate closely with other members of the Public Company Advisory group to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.

Requirements

• More than four years of prior relevant experience in securities law, public company compliance, or corporate governance.



• Deep understanding of securities laws and direct experience in public company compliance and corporate governance.



• Strong academic credentials and exceptional written, interpersonal, and communication skills.



• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a busy and growing advisory group.

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Admission to the California State Bar is preferred.

Skills

• Expertise in SEC reporting and securities law compliance.



• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously.



• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
