A law firm seeks a General Liability Associate Attorney in Louisville, Kentucky. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, handling a diverse litigation caseload from inception through resolution. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex matters and collaborate with experienced attorneys across multiple offices.

Duties

• Support litigation caseload from inception through resolution, including strategy development and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda in state and federal courts.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Manage written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories and requests for production.
• Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Develop litigation strategies with senior attorneys and clients.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing case assessments and updates.
• Collaborate with attorneys on complex general liability and insurance-related claims.
• Assist with trial preparation, including witness and exhibit development.
• Work with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff for efficient case management.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the State of Kentucky.
• 2+ years of defense litigation experience preferred.
• Experience with general liability, personal injury, and related claims preferred.
• Superior analytical and research skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
