A law firm seeks a mid to senior level associate to join its Real Estate Finance group in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, law firm or clerking experience, and excellent research, writing, and communication skills. This role requires 3+ years of experience in real estate finance, including loan origination and asset management.

Duties

• Originate loans for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Draft primary loan documents and manage transactions from inception to post-closing.
• Handle mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and secondary market repurchase facilities.
• Navigate complex subject matter effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

• 3+ years of broad real estate finance experience.
• Experience with asset management and workout strategies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.

Skills

• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex transactions and legal documents.
