Duties

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and strategic recommendations for case management.



• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks effectively to paralegals and legal assistants.



• Prepare discovery responses, manage document production, and attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events.



• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary while providing thorough reports.



• Maintain regular communication with support staff to ensure efficient case progression and client service.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.



• 5-7 years of practice experience in workers' compensation defense is preferred.



• A portable book of business is desired, though not strictly required.



• Superior organizational abilities with keen attention to detail and a proactive mindset.



• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while multitasking effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctorate or better from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in Georgia.
