A law firm seeks a Pre-Litigation Attorney to join their team in New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality legal representation in personal injury cases within a fast-moving, energetic, and rapidly evolving environment. This role requires a professional who thrives on client service, strategic case evaluation, and efficient case management while maintaining strict adherence to legal ethics and firm policies.

Duties

• Provide comprehensive legal representation to clients in personal injury matters, conducting initial case evaluations and developing effective legal strategies.



• Investigate claims by thoroughly reviewing police reports, medical records, witness statements, and other relevant evidence to build strong cases.



• Manage case workflows, including maintaining accurate file management in case management software and ensuring compliance with all legal standards and ethics rules.



• Communicate regularly with clients to provide timely updates, legal guidance, and support, while collaborating with legal assistants to optimize case progress.



• Analyze UM coverage and ensure all actions align with financial compliance, regulatory requirements, and best practices in the field.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid license to practice law in Louisiana and be a member of the state bar in good standing.



• Demonstrate excellent persuasive writing skills and the ability to prioritize and meet multiple, competing deadlines in a high-volume environment.



• Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.



• Display credible and discreet professionalism, maintaining a high level of integrity when handling highly confidential and privileged information.

Education

• JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Valid license to practice law in Louisiana.

Skills

• Working knowledge of laws, regulations, financial compliance, and best practices in personal injury law.



• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, including consensus building and client service experience.



• Strategic thinking ability to prioritize and integrate short-term and long-term goals effectively.
