Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Senior Associate or Of Counsel to join its Public Finance group in Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in public finance, municipal finance, economic development, or related transactional practice areas.

Duties

• Serve as bond, issuer's, tax, borrower's, disclosure, or underwriter's counsel.
• Draft and review transaction documents.
• Manage transactions through closing.
• Advise clients on public finance, tax, securities, and state-law matters.

Requirements

• Experience representing governmental entities, issuers, borrowers, underwriters, lenders, developers, or other transaction participants.
• Experience with development and infrastructure financings, tax increment financing, special districts, housing, education, health care, transportation, or other public sector financings preferred.
• Strong academic and professional credentials.
• Excellent research, drafting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
• Admission to the New Mexico Bar, or eligibility for admission, is required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
