Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Projects & Infrastructure Associate to join its Corporate practice in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will support the development and financing of sustainable infrastructure projects, including renewable energy and digital infrastructure, providing comprehensive legal counsel from concept through structuring.

Duties

• Advise clients on US project development and finance for distributed and utility-scale renewable energy projects.



• Navigate complex project M&A and tax equity transactions, including energy storage, wind, solar, and renewable fuels.



• Draft and review principal financing documentation, such as credit agreements, security agreements, and partnership agreements.



• Manage key commercial project documentation, including PPAs, EPCs, development agreements, and interconnection agreements.



• Conduct thorough due diligence related to site control and project structuring.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of project development and finance experience at a law firm.



• Experience with energy storage, wind, solar, renewable fuels, or digital infrastructure is highly desired.



• Proficiency in handling project M&A and tax equity transactions is preferred.



• Strong ability to balance multiple competing priorities while maintaining extreme attention to detail.

Education

• JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted or eligible for admission in Massachusetts, DC, or New York.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings and engage with demanding clients.



• Professionalism and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
