A law firm seeks a Business Immigration Associate to join its team in Pittsburgh, US. Duties

• Develop case strategies, including researching, drafting, reviewing, and counseling clients on immigration matters.



• Assess eligibility for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status and prepare petitions for government submission.



• Communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural issues and case strategy.



• Support clients in immigration program management, compliance, and global mobility initiatives.



• Conduct legal research to support client requests and projects, ensuring accurate and complete data entry.



• Supervise junior staff, providing mentoring and coaching while sharing immigration expertise.



• Implement opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and standardization of processes and services.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience at the Associate level with an expanded practical understanding of immigration law.



• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft fluent prose without AI assistance.



• Demonstrated attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.



• Dedication to exceptional client service and the ability to contribute to a positive work environment.

Education

• U.S. JD or LLM required.

Certifications

• Member of a U.S. State bar or Washington DC bar association.

Skills

• Expert-level understanding of client bases, industries, and firm practice areas.



• Ability to identify and solve escalations and areas of underperformance.



• Proficiency in using firm technology accurately and in line with team and client protocols.



• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively to resolve client issues.
