Job Overview
My client is looking for a Transport Planner
to join their Operations Team in the Fermoy area. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for the day-to-day transport planning for specific customer groups and/or geographical areas. Your role will involve optimising routing and ensuring efficient deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and oversee daily transport plans for assigned customer groups and/or areas.
Optimise driver, truck, and equipment routing for efficiency.
Collaborate with other planners to share resources and enhance routing effectiveness.
Communicate effectively with Key Account Administrators for seamless customer service.
Provide clear instructions and information to drivers.
Monitor driver working hours and balance workload.
Support Key Account Administrators as needed.
Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to process enhancements.
Requirements:
Degree in Transport & Logistics preferred.
Previous experience in Transport Planning is advantageous.
Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills
