Channel Development Associate-Food Service

SUMMARY:

Position Overview: The Associate Foodservice is a cross-functional role to support the foodservice organization. This position supports foodservice and business unit budget activities, helps design best-in-class processes to accelerate sales execution, engages in cross functional collaboration activities to accelerate growth across foodservice channels and as needed will support communication activities. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, inquisitive and driven individual who is focused on the details but has a willingness to learn and grow into a big-picture thinker.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Support the development of annual operating budgets for the foodservice channel development, poultry BU and prepared BU teams

Manage annual budget program setup activities

Lead invoice payment and reconciliation activities

Serve as a backup for the vendor setup lead

Manage the channel development P-card(s), including monthly receipt reconciliation

Support BIC processes such as SKU rat, contact lists, intern program curriculum etc.

Manage CMS activities for the team

Execute additions/revision to content on the sales hub

Support communication activities through collaboration on editorial calendar, execution on processes and reoccurring activities such as monthly channel updates, ongoing meeting scheduling etc. and evolving into actively seeking/following up on leads for potential sharing

Support foodservice SalesCon content development and execution

Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to supporting annual strategic plan development, Marlin retainer analysis and other special projects


REQUIREMENTS:

Education: BS or BA degree in business-related program strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education and business experience.

Experience: 1-3 plus years professional business experience; strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to articulate business intelligence strongly preferred. Foodservice industry experience is a plus. Person must be detail-oriented and a skilled project manager able to manage several projects at one time.

Computer Skills: Advanced Excel capabilities; proficient with PowerPoint and Word; knowledge of basic website content development beneficial.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Supervisory: None

Travel: 1-2 domestic trips per year.
