Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate M&A Attorney with over five years of experience to join their Minneapolis, MN office. The ideal candidate will have significant experience advising clients on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including those related to mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and financings.

Duties

• Advise on complex real estate transactions in M&A and corporate contexts.
• Lead standalone real estate transactions.
• Negotiate and draft complex commercial leases for landlords and tenants.
• Conduct and coordinate real estate due diligence.
• Identify and evaluate title, survey, zoning, and property-related risks.
• Negotiate and draft purchase and sale agreements.
• Manage the closing of real estate sale, purchase, and financing transactions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of transactional real estate experience.
• Strong foundation in core real estate matters.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills.
• Strong academic background.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School.

Certifications

• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Ability to promptly get admitted in the state of Minnesota.

Skills

• Ability to independently handle core real estate transactional tasks.
• Experience managing real estate aspects of corporate transactions.
