Duties

• Advise on complex legal issues affecting company operations and governance.
• Lead legal strategy for acquisitions and development programs.
• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements and transaction documents.
• Provide legal advice to senior officers and the board on corporate transactions.
• Advise on corporate tax-related activities and governance aspects.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on governance and strategic initiatives.
• Advise on sustainability and corporate responsibility reporting frameworks.
• Manage outside counsel on strategic transactions.
• Adapt to evolving business and regulatory priorities.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree and license to practice law in one or more states.
• Membership in the Missouri Bar or ability to join within six months.
• At least five years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and executive presence.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients and partners.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI and digital tools for legal workflows.
