This is is a key role in the Business Intelligence Technical Services and Architecture team and works closely with business leaders and users to define, develop and implement the data architecture for business intelligence applications. This includes working closely with business users to define data requirements, developing the data architecture design, logical data models (Dimensional Data Model Design, Star Schema, Snow Flake, etc.) and implementing and optimizing the physical data models. The IT Data Architect will also assist to define and document the technical architecture of the business intelligence platform, including the physical components and their functionality. This position will have broad knowledge of data sources, data integration and data flow. This position also designs processes to extract, transform, cleanse and load data. Will be champion for data analysis, logical and physical data modeling , ETL Technical Architecture Design and provides technical mentoring to other IT staff to support skills development focused on the next generation Data Warehouse program.
Minimum of 12 plus years of experience in the IT Industry
Minimum of 7 plus years of experience with Business Intelligence data architecture design for Data Warehouse / Datamart / Operational Data Store
5 plus years in Dimensional Modeling (star schema) data modeling is required
Expertise using data modeling tools ( For eg: ERwin , E/R Studio ..)
In-depth knowledge of BI Application development full life cycle
Good understanding of data relationships in SAP modules would be a big plus, but not required
Knowledge of business intelligence best practice processes, tools, standards and practices
Strong analytical and conceptual design skills; strong problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience and success in facilitation of reporting and analytics business requirements would be desired
Hands on experience in developing and implementing enterprise data architecture and complex data models for operational and data warehouse applications
In depth knowledge of Data Integration concepts, approaches, and tools and the role of data architecture in successful implementation of data integration strategy
Familiarity and preferably hands-on knowledge of Metadata Management and Master Data Management (MDM) concepts, approaches, and tools
In depth knowledge of business processes and business information models in a data warehousing context preferably in a SAP BW Environment
