A law firm seeks a midlevel litigation associate in Los Angeles to join its media and entertainment practice. Duties

• Defend copyright, trademark, idea-submission, and other claims against films, television series, podcasts, and digital content.
• Litigate defamation, right-of-publicity, and related claims in state and federal courts.
• Represent significant names in media and entertainment, including studios and production companies.
• Draft briefs, discovery requests, legal analyses, and other litigation documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of litigation experience at a law firm.
• Excellent analytical and legal writing skills with a proactive mentality.
• A desire to own cases and maintain high standards for work product.
• Comfort working directly with clients and mentoring junior lawyers.
• A genuine interest in content disputes; prior media or entertainment experience is a plus.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in California.

• Ability to integrate into case strategy and client relationships early.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
