Im seeking a native Spanish (Spain style) speaker fluent in both English and Spanish to proofread short translated sample texts to evaluate the translation quality of creative Romance writing.
This is a short assignment for now, but if we have a good partnership I also need a long-term proofreader for longer texts, and successful applicants for this role will be considered first for that.
The job involves reading a short English passage and the translated text provided by the translator, noting any grammatical or spelling errors you find (about 2000 words in each language). At the top of the translation document, please answer the following questions:
1) How many (number) errors did you find in this document?
2) Is the quality of the translation what you would expect to see in a professionally written romance novel in your native language?
3) On a scale of 1-10, how well would you rate the translator on their ability to accurately translate the meaning of the English text with appropriate grammar and spelling?
The pay for this contract will be $10 per reviewed document.
