SUMMARY
GPS, a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a qualified Detention Management Unit Supervisor (DMU) for Global Precision Systems, LLC in El Paso, TX.  The DMU Supervisor is a multi-encompassing and dynamic job that requires physical, mental and cognitive abilities associated with a detention facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are
not
intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
Verify the Daily Bed Count is current and up to date.
Verify the Deportable Alien Control System (DACS) is current and up
to date.
Assure the Running Tally is up to date and always coincides with the
Processing 1 Officers Tally and the Control Center Tally.
Assure the Count Room Board is current and up to date.
Assure the detainee’s physical location matches with the Count Room
Board.
Incoming and outgoing DMU staff will exchange pertinent
information before duties are transferred to the incoming shift.
Assure any other duty deemed significant to assure the mission objectives are completed.  
Assign new arrivals to their proper Housing Unit locations
Make sure all new arrival and/or transferred detainees are assigned a bunk number.
Verify all new arrivals are assigned the proper tags that identify
 detainee’s status i.e. classification levels, T42 status, NC48 status.
Confirm detainees identified as transgender are acknowledged on the
 count room board.
All daily detainee movement will be kept current on the Count Room
            Board. This will include:
                o   B&B’s/removals
                o   Temp-outs
                o   Transfers
                o   In-house transfers (Segregation, MHU, different Housing Unit)
                o   Medical facility (Hospital Duty/EPBHS)
Any modifications to the DACS must be authorized by the DMU in collaboration with the Processing Captain or higher authority.
Placement
EPC-PBNDS-0203-Restricted Housing Access Authorization Form must be filled out for each detainee assigned to an IHSC restricted movement Housing Unit.
Removal
When a detainee needs to be released/transferred, or the Housing Unit is no longer under restriction, a separate EPC-PBNDS-0203-Restricted Housing Access Authorization Form must also be completed for each detainee.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
U.S. Citizen or LPR
Not Currently Employed by federal agency or active duty military
Pass Government Background Checks
Valid state security license (Non-commission level 2/Commission Level 3)
5-year detention/Security Experience/Supervisory
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Capable of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations.
English literacy and ability to write reports in English
Meet physical/health requirements for duties.
Ability to use Computer Programs, such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree from Accredited University
Ability to speak, write and comprehend a second language (Spanish or any language)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Applicants must also be able to at times respond to physical disturbances that are violent in nature.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Essential job functions will require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing, and complex movements for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises direct reports.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
