SUMMARY
GPS, a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a qualified Detention Supervisor (Lieutenant) for Global Precision Systems, LLC in El Paso, TX.  The Detention Supervisor is a multi-encompassing and dynamic job that requires physical, mental and cognitive abilities associated with a detention facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are

intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
Conduct entry inspection of officers entering the facility. Provide, when needed reports to management on number of incidents at Temperature Station.
Provide assistance to the Detention Management Unit.
Observe shift muster; provide pass down to on-coming shift; conduct personnel inspection, forward discrepancy reports as necessary to the PM/Assistant Project Managers.
Directly supervising the Officers on shift in performance of duties regarding company policy, ICE Policy, PBNDS, PREA and Facility SOP
Supervise shift operations, ensuring Officers are performing their duties in accordance with post orders. Oversee all counts are conducted at prescribed times.
Conducting employee/Detainee injury investigations in accordance with policies, ensuring photos are taken, and reports prepared.
Reviewing Record of Presence to ensure all shift personnel have signed in/out properly. (The off-going shift Lieutenant will not depart until all ROP issues are resolved.)
Conducting daily equipment inventory of controlled equipment.
Performing all duties within the scope of facility safety and security.
Other Duties assigned by Shift Captain, APM and PM
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
U.S. Citizen or LPR;
Not currently employed by federal agency/active duty military;
HS Graduate or GED;
Meet physical/health requirements for duties.
Valid Public Trust Clearance
2 years’ experience
as a detention/corrections operations Supervisor of equal or lower rank.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Ability to timely and accurate reports on Word and Excel Formats
English literacy and ability to write reports in English
Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
Computer skills including proficiency in various Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Organizational skills commensurate with position.
Possess ICE Clearance
Ability to meet Physical Requirements as required by contract

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
