Health Law Fellow
The Fellow will be exposed to the wide variety of legal work necessary to support the three missions of an academic medical center (education, research, and patient care) and will have the opportunity to work with diverse operational units. May include performing research and analysis on federal and state law; drafting memoranda, agreements, briefs, presentations, and policies; supporting litigation-related matters; participating in due diligence and providing transactional support; assisting with emergent patient care-related issues that arise daily; and providing excellent service on all other duties as assigned. May appear in court on routine motions, prepare clinicians for meeting with attorneys or providing deposition testimony, and represent in administrative proceedings. May also be opportunities for public speaking and publishing. Will interact with a variety of clients including Medicine leadership, administrators, health care professionals, and the entire 40-person office of the Vice President and General Counsel.
