The candidate will help to provide clients high-quality legal services in civil and administrative law matters. Provide administrative support to attorneys and enhance office effectiveness. Maintain contact and communicate case progress with clients. Administratively support and prepare for trials. Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimony. Conduct research. Locate and develop relevant claim information. Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence. Communicate with counsel and the court. Take and direct phone calls. Maintain client and case information. Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars. Proven working experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or legal secretary preferred. Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and the civil court system preferred. Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office or similar required. Should have familiarity with MS Office.
