The intern will be placed in the Preliminary Hearing Unit. Will be involved primarily in legal research-related assignments in specialized units and divisions. May assist in the preparation of felony and misdemeanor prosecutions and observe courtroom activities. Review transcripts for inconsistent statements. Sit in on trial strategy discussions. Compose drafts of motions and memoranda. Obtain restitution information. Contact or check in victims or witnesses. Assemble case evidence notebooks. Sort and analyze evidence. Should be in the first year of law school.
