Description

Humana Healthy Horizons is seeking a Learning Design Professional 2 who will use instructional design, cognitive psychology and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap. The Learning Design Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Learning Design Professional 2 analyzes content, organizes content, designs solutions, and assists in writing storyboards, scripts, performance support, mobile learning and manuals.


Writes effective learning objectives and coordinates performance assessments to measure training effectiveness.
Ensures course materials are current and relevant to training needs.
Tracks and reports on the training programs effectiveness by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement.
Utilizes social media and collaborative tools to facilitate virtual learning.
Plans, organizes, and develops training curriculum, materials, job performance aids and programs to meet specific training needs.
Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
Follows established guidelines/procedures.


Required Qualifications


Associate Degree or equivalent work experience.
2 or more years of training or learning development experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe PDF.
Knowledge in Articulate, Articulate Storyline and/or Captivate.
Experience with learning strategies and adult learning theories.
Understanding of learning management systems.
Proven ability to facilitate and deliver an exceptional learning experience in-person and virtually.
Ability to work with agility and flexibility, embracing an ever-changing, fast-paced work environment.
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Every associate and contractor who work inside a Humana facility or in the field, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a daily health screening questionnaire.
Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.


Preferred Qualifications


Medicaid knowledge.
Social Media proficiency and innovation.
Adobe products proficiency.
Proficiency in MS Visio.
Experience with Articulate, Articulate Storyline and/or Captivate.
Knowledge of Cornerstone On Demand.


Additional Information


Typical Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; Eastern Time Zone with flexibility.


Interview Format

As part of our hiring process, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology provided by Modern Hire, a third-party vendor. This technology provides our team of recruiters and hiring managers an enhanced method for decision-making.

Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
