We are currently seeking a Lead PHP Developer as a Direct Hire, for a Direct-Hire opportunity in the Nashua, NH area.

Job Summary
Our client would consider someone who is not from the eCommerce industry. This is a lead role/management position but still very hands on programming. Incumbent will be writing code and developing applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements. Applications are typically used by internal staff, but some applications may be customer-facing (deployed through client*s e-commerce sites). You will be responsible for administering his/her applications and provides Tier 2 support to internal users as needed.

Candidate must have these qualifications:
- PHP; 5 years* experience, MVC, Object-Oriented Programming, Frameworks
- MySQL and other relational databases (i.e. MS SQL Server)
- Strong JavaScript skills, plus good knowledge of jQuery
- Solid HTML/CSS skills
- eCommerce development experience is a plus
- Magento, OS Commerce, XCart, etc.
- Payment gateway integration (PayPal, Website Payments Pro)
- Commercial API's integration (Shipping carriers, eBay etc.)
- Knowledge of web performance optimization
- Security (best practices - sql injection, xss etc.)
- Linux and Apache knowledge
- Skills and experience in these areas is a plus:
- Message Bus experience
- Background in other programming languages (i.e. Perl, Python, Java)
- Team development experience
- Collaboration tools: SVN, ticketing systems
- Perform additional duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:
- Requires an associate*s degree, or relevant programming training and certifications.
- Three to five years of relevant software development experience.
- Needs to be the most technical person on the team
