Finance/Accounting Manager
The candidate will have the responsibility of managing the Firm’s overall financial functions. In this role, be expected to evaluate and report on financial performance and financial obligations. This position reports directly to the managing partner and oversees the accounting and finance department. Manage all daily finance and accounting operations. Prepare daily, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reports and statements, as well as productivity reports. Oversee compliance with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Work as the liaison for the law firm and all financial functions. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting. Oversee client trust accounting and management of state bar accounts. Develop and enforce appropriate internal financial controls to protect the firm. Ensure payroll is accurately processed via third party payroll company and all related reporting and compliance requirements are met. Oversee cash function of the company. Perform month-end closing, including analysis of operation costs and results. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Budgeting and forecasting. Financial reporting. AP/AR. Day-to-day accounting. Other related duties as assigned and needed by the department and the company.
