CLINICAL SUPPORT TECHNICIAN II - UNC PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY CLINIC','CLI00CHC','!*!The Department of Pediatrics is looking for a detail-oriented team player to join the existing office support staff in the North Carolina Children’s Heart Center and off-site in the Pediatric Cardiology clinics. Primary responsibilities include: assisting the physician and nurse in delivery of direct patient care, setting up and maintaining patient rooms and equipment, measuring and recording vital signs, coordinating patient education, and performing electrocardiograms. The CSTII is also responsible for performing a wide range of clerical duties including, but not limited to: multi-line telephone reception, patient registration, appointment scheduling, processing referrals, researching information as requested by nurses and physicians, reviewing and revising orders as requested by clinician, transcribing physician orders, maintaining medical records, closing the loop between patient and provider, providing exemplary customer service to patients and their families, and other clerical duties as requested.

Carolina Children’s Cardiology provides support for several off-site clinics in Greensboro, Burlington and Cary. The selected candidate must be able and willing to travel to any/all off-site clinics as business needs arise, often with short notice, to provide clinical and administrative support. The primary work location will be in Cary.
　
This position is 40 hours/week from 8:00am – 5:00pm.

','!*!High School diploma or GED. Listed as Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. One (1) year of clerical or customer service experience and six (6) months of related nursing assistant experience, which may include a nursing assistant course or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Previous registration and scheduling experience is preferred.
