IP Legal Secretary
The candidate supports the firm’s Intellectual Property / Privacy / Data Security team of professionals. Job duties include: Client communication (written and oral); Opening new business & closing client matters; Maintaining attorney calendars; Docketing reminders and deadlines; Handling incoming and outgoing mail/shipping; Typing, editing, proofreading and finalizing documents; Organizing & maintaining documents and files; Preparing attorney expense reports; Primarily a transactions desk, but there is occasional litigation work. Superior attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload (with direction) is required. Office software skills (including Microsoft Office suite and strong keyboarding) are a must. While IP-specific knowledge and exposure to programs such as WebTMS are not required (we will train), they are a plus. Must be able to think critically, communicate clearly and effectively with others in the firm, and work collaboratively and cooperatively. College degree is desired.
