Teledyne LeCroy, Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets state of the art test and measurement equipment. Originally founded as **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., the company was formed in 1964; the company was acquired by Teledyne Technologies (NYSE: TDY) in 2012 and now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary. Teledyne LeCroy currently employs over 500 professionals and is based in Chestnut Ridge, New York (Rockland County).
Responsibilities:
Staff Accountant
Preparation and posting of journal entries
Preparation of account analysis, roll forwards and other analysis required for the month end close
Preparation of Balance Sheet and Income Statement variance analysis
Assist in quarterly review and year end audit process
Process and prepare monthly commission statements
Administer corporate credit card program
Fixed asset management including acquisitions and disposals
Prepare annual 1099 filing
Preparation/Review of Monthly Sales Tax Filings
Research and resolve sales tax discrepancies and issues
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
3 years public accounting experience or experience for a public company preferred
Accounting experience in a manufacturing company preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work independently and have excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables & Vlookup), Word and PowerPoint
Experience in Sales Tax Filing is a plus
Knowledge of BAAN general ledger system and Infor BPA consolidation tool are a plus
