The candidate should have 5+ years of recent experience of handling workers’ compensation cases throughout the litigation process including appearances before the WCAB, depositions of applicants and physicians, expertise with the AMA Guides, knowledge of third party subrogation, and the ability to coordinate workers’ compensation cases with interrelated employment law and disability discrimination issues. Must have experience independently managing a full caseload and be willing to work closely with other attorneys. Must be a Certified Legal Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law with experience representing public entities. Admission to the California State Bar and relevant work experience required. Must have a good academic background and possess excellent research and analytical abilities, along with superior writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
